Alab is a visionary leader who guides the School of Kapwa’s culture, develops & oversees strategy, leads community outreach & partnerships & manages high-level administration.

Alab is an Ancestral Healing & Wellness Advocate. She works with clients directly at her Panubli Therapies sanctuary, which is devoted to traditional Filipino healing arts & offers an accredited complementary therapy course. Additionally, she serves the Filipino community in the UK by supporting a Filipino Charity with mental health challenges & the promotion of overall well-being.

Hideki Mallari

Chief Operating Officer

Hideki is detail-orientated & strategic, overseeing day-to-day operations through project management, business strategy implementation, & providing crucial operational insights while working closely with the Executive Director to translate strategy into action.

Hideki is a gender-affirming therapist who works with somatic body-aware techniques with the LGBTQ+ community. They help their clients reconnect, feel & become more comfortable with themselves. They feel that being yourself is the biggest contribution anyone could give in a lifetime & loves to explore the healing benefits of spices in their meals, reliving & creating taste memories. And wishes that one day Hilot, the ancient art of Filipino healing is on the map as much as other ancient healing traditions such as yoga.

Cassie Doerfler

Director of Partnerships & Community Engagement

Cassie has a strong focus on building relationships at all levels, developing nature-based programmes & supports environmental fundraising while providing insights on community needs & engagement strategies.

Cassie has turned ancestral & generational anger into a catalyst for understanding & action. She has worked on the healing & empowerment of women, challenging collective oppressive systems that force women into exploitation. She deeply cherishes spending time outside in nature exploring habitats & sharing food & music with friends. And with her love of the outdoors & natural habitats she works to help communities reclaim their urban green spaces with the Royal Parks.

Lynda aligns the School of Kapwa’s vision & goals through strategic planning & innovative solutions with effective communication to amplify our cultural mission.

Lynda is a Contemporary Artist, Educator, Cuisinier & Horticulture Practitioner in her professional practice. Working to elevate the voices of the Filipino diaspora through the visual arts & independent filmmaking. An advocate for building sustainable creative living, she creates meaningful connections to home, family & friends through her cooking & Earthwork. Also passionate about holistic community-based learning systems & supports teaching & learning with the Technical Services Media Team at the Royal College of Art.
